  • Where were you?
  • What music was like?
  • And explain why you didn’t like the music?

Sample Answer:

I really love to listen to music, but I do not like loud music that is usually played at parties. I prefer to listen to music while doing meditation and yoga. Sometimes I listen to classical music.

Here I would like to talk about an event that I attended a few months back in December. It was the Birthday party of my cousin’s wife, and they organized this party at their home. They live a few blocks away from my home. I went to the party after returning from my office with my wife. The food was delicious, and the environment was pretty relaxing until they had not played the music.

They played English music, and none of the songs was from Bollywood. I like to listen to Hindi and Punjabi music but not loud ones. When I go to parties, I enjoy the beats of Punjabi music.

Frankly speaking, I am not a fan of English songs. Sometimes, it is pretty tough to understand the British accent, especially when it is a song. I felt bored, and soon I got a headache because of the high pitch music. My wife also does not admire English music. She is a Yoga teacher, and she loves peaceful and soul-soothing music. After having dinner, we quickly left the place.

Thank you!

Follow-Up Questions related to the topic “Describe an event you attended in which you didn’t like the music played.”

  1. Why do so many young people spend a lot of money on concerts?
I believe the real music admirer knows very well that there is no match to the music played live. It is not the only young people who go to such concerts, but many aged people love going to such live shows. My uncle spends a lot of money on live music shows.
  2. Do you think older people like the same music as young people?
Young people love to listen to the pop and hip-hop styles of music. On the other hand, older people love classical and slow music. Therefore, they are totally opposite.
  3. Do you think music concerts are suitable for old people to attend?
It really depends on the theme of the concert. If the old people are going to some rock music concert, they will definitely get tired due to the loud music. However, old people can enjoy classical music concerts and other opera performances.
  4. Why do shopping malls often have background music?
I think shopping malls know the strategy to relax the minds with soothing music. When the customers are not comfortable, they will not shop well. They play music to make a relaxing shopping environment.
