Introduction:

With the advent of technology, the life of people become quite easier. Although both views are worth consideration. Nevertheless, I support the latter viewpoint and intend to discuss both aspects in the subsequent paragraphs.

Body paragraphs:

Former View who say the gap is growing:

It is asserted by some individuals that the gap has grown between rich and poor drastically because everyone cannot afford the technology, especially in third world countries. They say it is impossible for a poor person to afford sophisticated technology to get their disease diagnosed. For example, a rich person can take the advantage of MRI(Magnetic resonance imaging) machine to examine his spine injuries by a doctor, however, an economical weaker person cannot afford the hefty fee to get himself examined by using that highly advanced technology. Eventually, if they want to use the facility of MRI, they have to spend huge money, which maybe they saved after working an entire year, thereby making them poorer.

Latter View who say the gap is growing:

It is pondered by some individuals that technology has diminished the gap between those who are financially stronger and those who are not. The first and foremost reason behind this that now everyone has access to free and affordable education. By using various online platforms, one can learn many practical skills. To illustrate, if a person wants to study, he can pursue a course by using the medium of distance learning and some of the Universities provide short-term courses totally free of cost. Not only this, people can use platforms like Youtube where they can learn many modern skills merely by watching video tutorials without spending a penny. Eventually,  after grabbing the knowledge, they can try that practically and earn money, which would reduce the gap.
To fortify further, technology has given the freedom to everyone to do business regardless of financial status. Since mobile applications like Uber and Ola have hit the market, anyone can do the business whether someone has 4 seater car or the luxury SUV. Furthermore, even a roadside vendor can sell his food items online by registering on the Andriod mobile applications like Uber Eats and Zomato. Consequently, the gap has been plunging between richer and poorer because both earn well due to the technology.

Conclusion:

To recapitulate, while there could be some areas where a poor person cannot afford the technology, overall technology has reduced the gap between rich and poor because a poor person can educate himself using free education and earn by using that knowledge.
