Well, I would love to share my experience of a holiday which I spent at a hill station. I went to Gulmarg, and it is in Jammu and Kashmir one of the states of India. The altitude of this locality is 2730 m above the sea level. Gulmarg also has the world’s second-highest Gondola ride. The view of snowy Himalayas was pretty mesmerizing. Anyone can reach there via public transport, which was quite convenient.
I went there last year with my family and friends. We planned this vacation because of the hot weather in Punjab, and my nephews were free due to their summer vacations. Therefore, we decided to visit Gulmarg. Our main aim was to bring happiness on the cute faces of kids. I believe it was the best time to bring the boys for an outing.
We enjoyed our time by doing various activities. First of all, we all took a ride on Gulmarg Gondola. The gondola is a two-tiered ride. In the first phase, it took us to Kongdori, which was at the height of 2600m; and in the second phase, we went to an elevation of approximately 3700m at Aparwath Peak. The view from Gulmarg Gondola was praiseworthy. Luckily, the sky was clear that day due to which we even witnessed the magnificent Nanga Parbat as well. We also spent some our time at the St. Mary church, and it was a Victorian-style Church. After the church, we had got the chance to taste the local cuisines. Last but not least, I tried hands-on skiing, and I did pretty bad. I suppose I need to take lessons.
