Describe an important piece of news that you received via text message

You should speak about:

  • Who shared the message with you?
  • What the news was about?
  • How was it written?
  • and explain why the news was important?

Who shared the message?

It is an irrefutable fact that cell phones play a significant role in almost everyone’s life. Recently, I have received an important text message from IDP. IDP is the co-owner of IELTS along with the British Council and Cambridge University. I got this message last week, and it was about my result. I would say it was a piece of pleasant news that made me happy. I was at the office that day when I received this text message. Firstly, I did not notice it because it was an SMS since I rarely pay attention to my inbox. You know mobile applications like Whatsapp are much popular than SMS’.

What the news was and how it was written?

I noticed it when I accidentally hit a notification, and the first word which caught my eyes was Result. My heart skipped a beat, but as soon as I read the entire message, I was relaxed and excited. It was written in a formal language. There was a passport number in it along with individual scores in Listening 8, Reading 8, Writing 7, and Speaking 7. On the last line of the message, there was an overall score of 7.5 was mentioned. I got c1 in my result, which is an outstanding score for a person whose first language is not English.

Why the news was important?

The news was imperative because I was trying very harder from the last one year to get the desired score of 8777. Eventually, I got it by following useful tips given by Don and many other online resources like IELTS Advantage. Positively, I will soon get the residency of Canada if everything goes well.
