By doing this, shopping malls will make a strong customer base. Eventually, small shop owners would not able to bear the pressure of losses and they will end up shutting their shops. As a result, families of small business owners will suffer. For example, people of a metro city of a European nation suffered a lot when the majority of small grocery stores got bankrupt due to the big malls. At the end, when there was no competitor left to compete with the big mall. They increased the prices of all commodities including essential items such as bread and butter.
