I would love to tell you about a dish that I tasted for the first time when I was in ninth grade. One evening my mom brought Manchurian from a newly opened Chinese restaurant nearby her office. She used to work in the bank, and the chef had a bank account in my mom’s bank. The chef was young and originally from China, and due to that, she knew a lot about the authentic flavors of the Chinese dishes. She became friends with my mom and gave her secret recipes. It was her who recommended my mom to try this Chinese cuisine invented by Nelson Wang.
It was just a regular day, and there was no such occasion.
That day mom brought Manchurian cooked the chef, Chen. There was some kind of magic in Chen’s hands. The Manchurian cooked by her was so delicious. I vividly remember that evening when we had it with fried rice cooked by my mom in our living room. There were almost 40 pieces of Manchurian with a thick gravy. The flavor and aroma of the dish were mindblowing. I believe it was due to the ginger and garlic in it. The cook had also used finely chopped onion. Definitely, Manchurian made my soul happy that day as I had never tasted something that yummy before.
The food was delightful, but I wanted to save some for my best friend. So, the next day, I took it in my lunch box, and my friend, Jacky, was in awe because he had never tasted that much delicious Chinese food.
