  • and explain why you do not like this trip

Sample Answer:

Although I love traveling, yet there are some places where I don’t enjoy going anymore. One of such locations is Nakodar city. It’s around 20 kilometers from my hometown. I have to often go, at least 3-4 times a month, as one of my cousins studies there in a hostel. My aunt and uncle live in the US. Therefore, I have to pick and drop him from the hostel every fortnight and sometimes every week as he is 17 only. To be honest, I am totally annoyed by this fixed journey as not only, I have to spare time to go there from my hectic schedule, but also it is a tiresome journey for me.

My cousin, whom I go to pick and drop, is quite a silenced person. He rarely talks with me while we are on the road. This makes my journey mere boring and annoying. As he is not a talkative person and on the other hand, I hate to stay quiet, especially when I drive a car.

Follow-ups questions based on the topic “Describe a short trip that you often take but you do not like”

1. Do Indian people like to travel abroad?
Yes, Indians love to travel inside India and all around the world. India is a beautiful country full of travel destinations. For example, most people in summers prefer to go to Kashmir. However, during the cold weather, they like to go to South Indian states because of the pleasant weather.

2. How much time do you think people should spend on a trip abroad?
It really depends on the people themselves and where they live. I believe a working person can’t stay more than a week in foreign nations, especially if he/she is an Indian. This is because they don’t get many paid holidays from their work.

3. Who prefers traveling abroad, the young or the old?
Both young and old people love traveling abroad, and from time to time they go also. I want to share a survey conducted by a travel agency that states that those youngsters who desire to travel said they don’t have enough funds, and on the other hand, aged people said they have funds but don’t have enough energy.

4. Which is better for knowing more about a country traveling or reading books about it?
I am not a book reader, so it is quite tough to speak about it. However, I am a storyteller, and I have become this by traveling to countless destinations. Even I have a personal blog. Therefore, at least for me, traveling is essential to know the places better as I don’t like to read books.
